Built out of what we needed ourselves.
JKHD is an independent development house for quantitative trading systems, based in Germany. We are small on purpose — and we take every commission in hand personally instead of passing it on.
It did not begin with a business plan but with a problem of our own: anyone who wants to work in the markets by rules rather than by gut feeling needs tools that do not exist ready-made. A data connection that does not quietly fill in gaps. Statistics that are also willing to say no. An emergency stop that triggers when nobody is watching. Because none of it could be bought, we built it.
Out of those tools our own system emerged, and it has been running and monitored ever since. And out of the system came the offering: the same technology, the same tests, the same care — only built for someone else. So we sell nothing that we do not use ourselves.
How we workEverything is made in house: data processing, research, software, the risk layer, operation. We do not buy in someone else's black box and rebrand it as our own work. That is slower, but it means we can explain every line — and that when something goes wrong you are not waiting on a third party.
Assessment is done with statistics that are allowed to decide against us. A rejected signal is not a setback here, it is a result. That is also why we will tell you when an approach does not hold up — more often than not that is the more valuable answer than a commission at any price.
Who we work forOur clients are banks, funds and professional institutions. No retail product, no copy-trading bots, no promises of returns. What we build for a client belongs to that client alone — we keep no copy and do not sell the same work a second time.

Who is behind it.
Julian Kaiser founded JKHD. He is responsible for the strategic direction as well as the technological architecture. His focus lies on the design and optimisation of the quantitative infrastructure — in particular data processing, the research models, risk integration and system monitoring.
Background & developmentThe road to founding JKHD is marked by a pronounced technical orientation and a great deal of self-initiative. After leaving school with a Hauptschulabschluss — the German general secondary school certificate — and completing an apprenticeship in the electrical trade, he acquired a solid grounding in complex systems and technical logic. Alongside that he deepened his expertise in quantitative financial market analysis and algorithm development through intensive self-taught study. The synthesis of technical systems understanding and data-based analysis ultimately led to the founding of JKHD.
